When U-pick your own available fruits and veggies at Abers Acres you gain more than food.

If you don’t want to pick your own, all U-pick items are available fresh at our farmstand and farmers’ market.

U-pick dates and availability may vary Depending on weather from year to year .

Strawberries : By Appointment

Our u-pick strawberry field is a favorite for all ages. Strawberry pick your own starts around the Third to Fourth week in June at our Grubb Hill Location. 

The U-pick fields have several different varieties of strawberries 

Fall strawberries for purchase at the farm stand starting in September.

U-pick dates and availability may vary Depending on weather from year to year .

Peas: By Appointment

There’s nothing fresher than the snapping sound of peas. Abers Acres U-Pick peas starting in early June and continue into July, depending on weather.

Blueberries : Coming Soon

Think blueberry pie ot blueberry pancakes. With several different varieties of U-Pick blueberries at Abers Acres, you’re sure to find plenty for all your blueberry needs.

Blueberry picking begins at the beginning of July through August.

Black Raspberries

Black raspberry U-Pick at Abers Acres begins the first week in July. 

Red Raspberries

Red raspberry pick your own starts at the end of August. If you can’t wait for u-pick pick som eup at the farmstand and markets starting in late July.

Fava Beans : By Appointment

Fava Beans, a favorite in Italian cuisine. Pick-your-own Fava Beans begins in June and July depending on weather.

Green & Yellow Beans: By Appointment

U-pick yellow and green beans become available in the early part of June. (Depending on weather.)

Cut Flowers : By Appointment

Create your own flower bouquets from our large flower garden, There are many types and colors to choose from throughout the season.  

Check at the farmstand on 394 for availability and picking areas.

Procedures

Create memories, at Abers Acres family friendly u-pick fields. If your picking just for fun, to save money or taste freshly grown food we have a field for you!

Please review our picking procedures.

  • Children are welcome to come pick!  Please keep them supervise at all times.
  • Stop at farm location check-in point prior to entering field.
    • If you don’t know the location of the field, please go to the farm stand on route 394 for directions.
  • Picking containers are available if you don’t have any. 
  • Have personal picking containers ready to be weighed.
  • Bring or purchase take home containers.
  • Follow picking rules
    • Abers staff will show you your picking area.
    • Stay in your designated picking area.
    • Move flags to where you stopped picking in your row.
    • If you need another row, see check-in person.
    • Be careful while picking not to harm the plants or remaining fruit.
    • Be respectful to other pickers.
  • Check-out with attendant when you’re finished picking.
